How your Shopify store connects to the warehouse
The warehouse runs on Docklane, a warehouse and transport management system (WMS + TMS) built for ecommerce. Docklane connects to your Shopify store through the official API in a few minutes: you authorise the connection, we map your products to warehouse SKUs, and from then on every paid order appears in the warehouse queue without anyone touching a keyboard.
In the other direction, Docklane writes back to Shopify. When an order ships, your store receives the carrier, the tracking number and the fulfilled status, so your customer gets the standard Shopify shipping notification. Available stock is updated as units are received, picked or returned, so you never sell what you do not have.
What happens with every order
- The order is paid in Shopify and reaches Docklane within a minute, with the customer address, the lines and any note.
- Picking by SKU and quantity. Each line is scanned, so the wrong item cannot go into the box.
- Quality check before sealing, then packing with your branded box, a plain box or a mailer, with the packing slip or leaflet you provide.
- Carrier label from the carrier chosen for that order, dispatch the same day, tracking sent back to Shopify.
- Returns are received, inspected and restocked or set aside according to the rule we agree with you, and the stock in Shopify reflects it.
Ten carriers from one Shopify store
SEUR, GLS, MRW, Correos, Correos Express, CTT Express, TIPSA, DHL Express, UPS and FedEx are integrated in the warehouse. You can choose the carrier per order or set rules by weight, destination or shipping method selected at checkout: for example, GLS for mainland Spain, Correos Express for the Balearic Islands, UPS for the rest of the EU. Shipping is billed at the carrier rate, with no handling surcharge.
Who it is for
- Brands selling into Spain from abroad that want to stop shipping every order cross-border, cut transit to 24 or 48 hours and remove customs friction for the customer.
- Spanish Shopify stores still packing orders at home, in the back of the shop or in an expensive metropolitan unit.
- Seasonal or fast-growing stores that need space for peaks without paying for it the rest of the year.
We store any product that keeps at room temperature: fashion, cosmetics, packaged food, wine and olive oil, supplements, home goods, ceramics, small electronics, toys, books. The only thing we do not store is frozen, chilled or fresh goods.
Getting started
Tell us what you sell, how many orders you ship per month and where from. We reply with a written quote, with fixed prices per pallet and per order. If you go ahead, the Shopify connection takes an afternoon and your stock can be live in the warehouse the week it arrives. Prices are explained in ecommerce fulfillment pricing in Spain, and how we work for foreign brands in 3PL warehouse in Spain.
